Rare Disease Event Video

Tomorrow is the Annual International Rare Disease Day (https://www.rarediseaseday.org/). Following the Rare Disease Human Library Event in late January where medical students got the chance to learn about rare diseases through case studies and meeting patients, a few medical students spoke at the 2018 HKU Rare Disease Symposium this past weekend. This symposium brought patients, doctors, researchers, and students together to discuss the topic of rare diseases as well as the developments. In addition to speaking at the event in order to share the medical student perspective on the topic, we presented a video of our student event in order to show the audience how students have been involved in the cause, and to show medical students' thoughts on the matter. Thanks once again to all the medical students who attended and/or helped with the event, and a special thank you to Professor Danny Chan and the HKARD for working with us!
